Update and Future Plans
It’s been a while since our last meeting, but we’ve been working behind the scenes to create new opportunities.
This update shares key points about our future plans
Next Meeting FEBRUARY 7TH
Our next meeting will be on Friday, February 7th. We understand the consistency behind our last meetings was less than ideal. As a result, we’ve reformatted our objective to focus on analyzing companies within the stock market and how to maximize returns. (Building experience in stock selection and generating profitable returns).
A follow-up message will be sent in the joinable group.
(2026) Competition via the University of Pennsylvania
We’re pleased to announce that we will be entering a competition at the University of Pennsylvania (uPenn Wharton School) for the early 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your financial skills and gain a valuable achievement for your college applications. More information about the competition’s rules, timeline, and how to participate at our upcoming meeting.
COMPETITION INFORMATION
Please note, this competition will occur at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, so current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible (IE: rising sophomores, juniors, seniors),
We also do ask that you are genuinely interested before opting-in (team competition),
This isn’t required to remain in DCHS Invest, as there are plenty of other valuable opportunities.
New MarketWatch Session is Available
A new MarketWatch platform where you can practice investing is available. Steps-to-join is available on our home page.
What should I start with investing in? Index funds are safe, longer term choices, (VOO, FXAIX, etc).
January Stock Market Report
Lastly, the January market report has been published, allowing you to see major events occurring in the stock market. If interested, giving these a look is a great way to expand financial/investing experience and learn something new.
